Code Blue

During the month of December, Shir Ami steps up to provide shelter and nourishment for the homeless in Lower Bucks County whenever the temperature falls below 26 degrees.

 

We partner with AHTN (Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need), who notify us when our assistance is needed.

 

Our guests are transported to Shir Ami, arriving after 8 PM, where they are welcomed with a hot dinner and a warm cot in our social hall for a restful night.

 

We need your help to prepare food for dinner, a light breakfast, and a "to-go" sandwich.  If you sign up to volunteer, you will be notified if a Code Blue night is called.  Additionally, we will definitely be providing shelter on Christmas Eve (December 24th) and have been asked to serve a more festive meal on Christmas Day.
