A Taste of Broadway with Shir Ami
Looking for a little taste of Broadway? Get some show tunes running through your head with a trip to a live theater performance with the Shir Ami theater group.
The theater group was founded in 1997 as a means for congregants to experience live theater together. Over the years this group has traveled to New York's famous theaters on Broadway, as well as seeing national tours of shows in Philadelphia. There is no extra charge for congregants, their families and friends above the cost of the ticket. Transportation is generally not provided to shows, but most people either take the train or carpool.
This group is chaired by congregant Andee Losben, who stays informed about current Broadway news books shows early, so that the seats are as good as possible. The main purpose of our Shir Ami Theater group has always been camaraderie and enjoying theater together at prices less than at the box office.
