Join Us for a Meaningful Night Out!
We invite you to Sparkle and Sip for a Cause: Neurofibromatosis Awareness and Fundraiser Event. This is a special women's night out to raise funds and awareness for Neurofibromatosis (NF) research.
Important Event Details:
- Date: Thursday, June 5th
- Time: 7:00 - 9:00 PM
- Location: Flourish Cafe in Newtown (Eagle Shopping Center next to The Capital Grille)
- BYOB: Bring your favorite drinks to share! Food and snacks are available for purchase and Flourish Cafe will be donating a portion of proceeds back to our fundraiser.
- Fundraiser: We are raising funds for Children's Tumor Foundation, a research foundation working to fund a cure for NF.
About the Cause
This event is in support of Charlie Gross, one of our ELC Pre-K students, who has Neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic condition that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. NF includes all forms of neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis and affects about 4 million people worldwide. Anyone can be born with NF, and it affects everyone differently.
The Gross family have been members of Shir Ami for many years, and Charlie's sister is in Shir Ami's religious school. Together, we will raise our glasses and get together to raise funds for NF research and show our support for Charlie and his family.
What to Expect:
Jewelry Fundraiser: Hamdmade Jewelry, Charm Bar, Bracelet Bar, and Permenant Jewelery Options!
Jaime, local designer and owner of Whim Jewelry, will be joining us at our event!
Whim Jewelry is a carefully curated collection of handmade jewelry located in beautiful Newtown, Pennsylvania. Whim will have jewelry for sale at Flourish Cafe for our NF event and
a portion of all proceeds will going towards the fundraiser. The more Whim sells, the more goes to our NF fundraiser!
Whim will be offering us many options for this fundraiser event - including
permanent jewelry, a charm bar, and make your own bracelet bar, led by Rebekah! While Whim has always been rooted in humanitarian efforts, they recently have pivoted to partner with non-profits and fundraising causes in our local communities to really help make a difference.
We are so grateful and excited that they are part of our event to raise NF awareness and funds for research. Join us!
The event will be hosted at Flourish Cafe's new location in Newtown. Flourish is known for their beautiful desserts and comfortable and lovely ambiance - which makes it the perfect location for a night of shopping, fun, and community. Flourish will also donate at least 10% of all food / drink purchases towards our NF fundraiser. Flourish will be offering an exclusive food and drink menu for our Shir Ami / Women's Night Out Fundraiser event.
