Please join us on Tuesday, September 17th at 7:30 PM for a special evening discussion at Shir Ami. Come learn how our Jewish values can fight the stigma surrounding abortion.  Building on our values, we'll practice conversations to fight the stigma and advocate for reproductive healthcare.

Program Description and Details
Fighting Abortion Stigma: How to Talk About Abortion and Our Faith

Kol Emet’s Rabbi Anna Boswell-Levy and Amber Brown Planned Parenthood Keystone’s Director of Education and Training will guide the workshop.  Together, we’ll explore Jewish text related to reproductive health. Then, we get a better understanding of the stigma surrounding Abortion, the why and what, and assessing how our language can influence it, unconsciously. We’ll practice discussing Abortion comfortably, learning how to address common stigmatizing statements. Building skills to discuss Abortion as routine healthcare, equips us to fight its unjust stigma.

You are welcome to bring guests to the workshop. Please add them to your RSVP below. Our workshop is appropriate for ages 15+.

Women of Shir Ami is providing the evening’s refreshments.  Thanks for the Nosh!
