5785 Folio of Memory

As the High Holy Days approach we remember that the time between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is a sacred time filled with prayer, repentance, and the giving of tzedakah. During this special time in the Jewish year we are also reminded of the Torah’s commandment, Lizkor- to remember, and not to forget. As we look ahead to 5785 and the High Holy Days let us remember those who have come before us as well as our sacred traditions.

Many Jews observe the commandment of giving tzedakah as a way of remembering and honoring their departed loved ones. During the High Holy Days you can perform this mitzvah in many special and meaningful ways. Please see the form below where you can find many opportunities to give tzedakah in your loved one’s memory- you may want to include them as a Memorial Listing in the Folio of Memory, dedicate a prayer book or Torah commentary in their name, or if you haven’t already, please consider the most permanent of all tributes, a yahrzeit plaque in our sanctuary. As we lovingly remember our past, we help support the future of Shir Ami.

Here is an attachment to our 2023/5784 Folio if you would like to see who you've listed previously.  Please click here to view your family's yahrzeit list.
