SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Shabbat Observance
Shir Ami ELC prides itself on exposing children to the many beautiful customs, rituals and values of Judaism. We celebrate Shabbat every Friday morning as a school with our clergy. We sing songs, listen to stories and celebrate holidays and birthdays as one big “community”. Each child will have the opportunity to be a special Shabbat Child. Families are encouraged to come and participate. Want more? Join us for our Shir Sprouts Friday night services. Our theme-focused Shabbat is age appropriate and fun. Bring a dessert and join us for dinner and a children’s activity after. On Saturdays, take a ride with the family and come to Tot Shabbat services out of the building. The Bucks County Children’s Museum is a favorite with free admission and use of the museum after a short service, stories and songs.

Holiday Celebrations
Come celebrate with us! Our children love to show off everything they learn. Whether it be through our Kindergarten holiday plays, school Seders, parties or parades, parents are invited to enjoy and participate in the fun.

MAKING AN IMPACT
Teaching our children to reach out and help others plays a visible role at Shir Ami ELC. We provide important and meaningful experiences for children to learn about Judaism by stressing these mitzvot as our obligation to take care of others in need and to learn sustainability as a way of caring for our world. It is a weekly tradition to donate food to The Mitzvah Food Pantry and collect “tzedakah” money to give to various charities. We also hold annual coat drives, support the JKid Philly Baby Bundles collection, and much more!
